Art Deco Walking Tour

There’s more to Miami than its beaches, shopping and extravagant nightlife. Learn how the city came to be what it is today and admire the distinctive architectural designs Miami is known for.

This 1 1/2 to two-hour walking tour provides an introduction to the Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and Miami Modern (MiMo) styles found within the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District. Citibike to South Pointe Pier

Walking under the Miami sun can be grueling, but Citibike can make your travels a bit more comfortable on your trip to the Pointe. Enjoy striking views and beautiful beaches on your trek along through South Pointe Park. The park is a popular spot and recently underwent a more than $20 million dollar face lift. From the walking promenade, you can watch cruise ships launch out to sea and new developments under construction with Key Biscayne to the south and downtown Miami to the west.

You will certainly work up a sweat under the sun. Most of the ride is on flat land with gentle slopes and very few people to dodge on the journey. Mid to late afternoon is best for a ride.

Concrete Beach Brewery

Concrete Beach Brewery is the center of Wynwood Arts District, uniting communities with a common love of traditions. The brewery offers an artistic array of classically brewed ales and lagers. Every pint conveys their passion and their beer complements any occasion.

Wynwood Walls

Perhaps the biggest attraction in the Wynwood Arts District and one of the most notable Miami sites to visit are Wynwood Walls. This outdoor museum offers large scale works by some of the works best-known street artists. Young hip crowds frequent the scene, and it’s a haven for selfie takers who yearn to be photographed before the massive colorful backdrops. The surrounding neighborhoods is filled with converted warehouses for art galleries, chic boutiques, late-night bars and stylish bistros.

Cafe Roval

Looking to have a romantic evening dinner? One will score major dating points with an evening planned at Cafe Roval. The ambiance here is ideal for proposals or marking an anniversary.

Low lighting indoors and out set the mood and the wait staff is attentive to your every need. Bartenders do an excellent job mixing drinks. With such a diverse drink menu, you’ll want to sample quite a few.

Outdoor seating is recommended in garden where trees cast cover under the sky, and the sound of water flowing from fountains make for a serene evening.

The Fillmore

During our visit Thievery Corporation played in concert. The audience was filled with fans  of which you could easily tell were made of local friends, family and co-workers out to enjoy the evening. Thievery Corporation played scores of their music for hours and the audiences cheered them on for more at the end of each song. It was standing room only in our section, with good views and sounds that made for an exciting night.

Breakfast at Dr. Smood

It’s tough to maintain healthy eating when vacationing and if one hadn’t been throughout their trip, they will surely feel motivated to do so after a visit to Dr. Smood.

During our visit at their Sunset Harbor location, representatives prepare individualized servings. Some menu suggestions we sampled included raw oats with raspberry coulis, the Blueberry Majik organic live Smoody and Detox Juice No4. that is a combination of orange, melon, beets, spinach, celery, carrot, ginger, and ashwaganda.

While your taste buds water for delectable treats, you will find the location amazing organized and stock accordingly which would oneway find encouraging when it comes to maintaining a well-balanced diet and lifestyle.

Paddle Boarding Excursion

View some of Miami’s rich and famous homes as you paddle leisurely through the canals off Biscayne Bay by paddle board. Miami Beach Paddle Board offers a guided tour that first takes you out onto Biscayne Bay, and then between luxurious million-dollar homes as you zig-zag through canals. Then dare to venture across the Bay to Pace Picnic Island where you can hop off your board for a break to sit on the beach and admire the city skylines with other paddlers.
