Who doesn’t love a fantastic bottle of wine on date night or any other special occasion?  I always promised myself someday I’d hit up Napa.  Until then…I can hit up Napa’s best wine through TravelFood Curated Wines @travelfood_wines on Instagram or their website link at the bottom.

I was lucky enough to experience Jacqueline Yoakum’s 2014 Inaugural Release Pinot Noir, exclusive to Travelfood and only 80 cases made by this Robert Parker rated winemaker!

It was love at first sip.  My fiance and I shared it on our date night. Lucky me x 2!

According to the experts, you’ll “taste tawny cranberry Oregon color with heirloom french plum tart, lavender and chocolate mint nose and a lingering sweet pea floral note. On the palate, a nice bit of herbal, cinnamon and kirsch, while crème brulee emerges. Oak is subtle and integrated in this elegant and supple wine. Drink now or hold and age for the next 10 years.

I love TravelFood Curated Wines because they are family-owned and just really lovely people.

The company cultivates relationships within Napa Valley in order to select the best quality wines they can get their hands on. It means getting to know the winemakers, how the grapes are harvested, and the personality of each bottle.  They love wines that tell a good story, wines that pair well with favorite meals, and wines that make a savory first impression upon first sip.

What makes them different?

In an age where algorithms are increasingly determining wine preferences, it’s TravelFood Curated Wine’s pleasure and responsibility to maintain the humanity in wine curation, of choosing bottles based on all aspects of you and who you’d like to share the wine with, not just a short quiz you take online based on your preferences alone. They celebrate the wines they sell for their quality, sustainability, and uniqueness. Whether it’s from a small lot vineyard or a passion project from a famous maker, they are proud that they know where each bottle came from.
