BEVERLY HILLS’ HOTTEST WATERING HOLE

As the glamour capital of the world, Beverly Hills restaurants are commonly known for who is seen dining rather than what’s served.  In the case of BG Lounge – an upstairs hideaway at the modern Italian eatery Nerano – it’s what’s on the plate and in the glass that truly captivates.

A warm and intimate space augmented by original artwork that adds to the coziness rather than distracting from it, BG Lounge is where master mixologist Asadour Seheljian conjures unprecedented mixology magic in the heart of Beverly Hills.  After working his way to Head Bartender at Culina at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills, Seheljian is now delighting patrons at BG Lounge with his uncanny charisma, passion, and ability to create astonishing flavor combinations that include house-made ingredients.

The merry verve around the marble bar can be largely attributed to Seheljian’s illimitable energy and natural showmanship.  With a magician’s sleight of hand and an athlete’s agility, Seheljian pours, shakes, stirs, and mixes without taking a breath – or so it seems.  Only the freshest seasonal ingredients will do, and the ensuing results are artisanal creations like Rasputin, Rosas de Jalisco, and Smokey Phoenix.  If one fancies an impromptu creation based on preferred ingredients, he’s up for the task.  Be ready to be blown away.

Sharable plates by Chef Michele Lisi include contemporary Southern Italian favorites, gourmet burgers and sumptuous desserts (the Hazelnut Ice Cream is to die for).

Live music is also on the menu.  Phab, a talented native Italian singer, gently entertains with a repertoire from classic standard songs to contemporary pop music, every Tuesday from 7:00 – 11:00 PM.
