HEY, HOW’S IT GLOWING?

Glow Recipe bursts some bubbles with Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask for face and eyes at LA launch party.

For fruit-based, upstart skincare brand Glow Recipe, things couldn’t be glowing better.  To celebrate the release of their newest innovation, which features a gentle encapsulated retinol, a big summer beauty bash was thrown on August 14th at the boutique Line Hotel in Los Angeles.

Celebs, press, fans, and influencers galore joined Innovative PR along with Glow Recipe founders Sarah Lee and Christine Chang for a high-spirited evening of hor’s d’ oeuvres, cocktails, performances, and products sampling.  All arriving guests were greeted by a ball pit in the shape of a giant avocado for selfies or some playtime frolic before entering Openaire, the hotel’s indoor/outdoor hybrid bar and nightspot.  Despite some long lines, the talented mixologists kept the cocktails flowing, while their Michelin-star chef kept the tasty passed bites coming (the coffee-rubbed steak skewers were a standout).

Requested to wear green in honor of the avocado, fashionistas sported their favorite shade of lime, emerald, jade, and peridot.  Amidst the neon glow, celebrity sightings were in abundance.  These included renowned makeup artist Angel “MacDaddyy” Marino, who treated the crowd to some dynamic dance moves, beauty magnate Desi Perkins, makeup artist Patrick Starrr, fashion designer Michael Costello, actress Cassie Scerbo, actress AnnaLynne McCord, podcast host Catt Sadler, and star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Laganja Estranja.
