AMERICAN VANITY – THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL

Emilie Livingston and Jeff Goldblum

American Vanity launches the first science-based luxury CBD skincare with an all-star launch party.

With a guest list that included the likes of Jeff Goldblum, Emmanuelle Chirqui, and Briana Evigan, your likely first guess is a red-carpet movie premiere or some of kind post-award season award ceremony.  The “premiere” part is spot on, but this is no movie or scripted reality series.  It’s the West Hollywood launch party of a sophisticated new skincare brand that is destined to turn the beauty world upside-down and your skin back to a decidedly more youthful state.

The packed penthouse of the Sunset Tower Hotel was anything but your typical beauty launch affair.  Then again, American Vanity is not your typical skincare brand.  Breaking away from the homegrown, kitchen-sink brands or investors with no background in skin science who wish to cash in on a lucrative market, American Vanity co-founders Mary Nguyen and Veronica Barton-Schwartz are industry veterans who shared one common goal – their brand had to be the best on every level.

“American Vanity believes that loving yourself is not frivolous or vain, but a necessary part of self-care.” Mary Nguyen.

An internationally recognized entrepreneur, Nguyen is the founder of the bridal wear empire Enzoani.  She learned beauty rituals and self-care from her mother when she a child, and always dreamed of involvement in the beauty industry.  Barton-Schwartz grew up with exposure to skincare pioneers such as Aida Grey before entering an art college.  Due to battles with her own skin condition, Barton-Schwartz switched to aesthetics and studied globally before starting a successful practice that has lasted for decades. Widely recognized as a skincare authority who has appeared on national television and major publications, her discreet Malibu spa has established a dedicated celebrity clientele.

These two extraordinary women joined forces to create a cutting-edge brand with not only the most pure and potent extracts but with a purpose to empower and inspire.  The proprietary formulas are presented in Italian glass jars of black and gold – colors symbolic of luxury and royalty.  Of the rare and divine. The power of immersing oneself in the finest of elements, as in a sacred ceremony to optimum skin health.

So what’s inside those pretty glass vessels?  Nguyen and Barton-Schwartz went all out to find the best chemists and dermatologists to formulate CBD-infused products that go above and beyond.  The result is BioAdvance CBD: A patented water-soluble CBD isolate that penetrates 30x deeper than traditional or “neat” CBD.  That translates to enhanced anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antioxidant properties.  Skin is propelled to act and feel more vital and alive with a healthier overall skin environment.

But CBD alone does not make great skincare.  Concentrated plant, fruit, and floral extracts plus radical peptides breathe new life and vivacity to skin.  American Vanity is cruelty-free, gluten-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, non-GMO, and third-party tested.

“I am truly excited to be a part of the next phase of skincare.”  Veronica Barton-Schwartz
