Whether it’s your first or tenth visit, there’s always something new and magical about Italy to discover or explore. The full service travel company, Access Italy can give that discovery and exploration you crave by taking you to places that the other tour groups and tours won’t; places you may not even know existed!

Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Owen Wilson, Sharon Stone, and Aaron Paul, together with the top CEOs of major corporations, are but a small sampling of the noteworthy clients Access Italy has opened Italy’s doors to.

Access Italy’s founder, Angelo Amorico (who himself was a tour guide in Rome for more than 25 years), was encouraged to start his own exclusive tour business with Access Italy by his passion for Italy as a country. His two sons, Simone and Marco, began working with Angelo from Access Italy’s inception in 2004. Simone explained, “Our goal is to have travelers have the best vacation in Italy and have them leave with memories of a lifetime.”

Access Italy creates and plans vacations for travelers’ needs and wants. Whether traveling alone, with family, on a honeymoon or with friends, Angelo, Simone, Marco and their staff see to it that everyone’s experiences meet and exceed expectations. Angelo’s lengthy history and years of networking in Italy has granted Access Italy the special ability to unlock secret doors in the Vatican, take clients to places closed to the public and reveal secrets in every corner of the country.

During one of Oprah’s visits, Angelo took Oprah to stand on the same Godfather balcony in Sicily where Al Pacino stood. This past summer, actor for Olaf (Frozen) Josh Gad was able to visit the Pantheon privately with his family and Simone. One of the most memorable experiences Access Italy was able to provide was a private wedding proposal made in the Sistine Chapel.

If you are looking for something more traditional, Access Italy also give tours to all the must – see touristy spots within Italy, and we even offer front – of – the – line tickets so you can avoid the usual lines.  Looking for a heavenly night sleep?  Access Italy can reserve accommodations for you in the many 5-star hotels throughout Italy.  If you truly want to immerse yourself in Italian culture, Simone can set up private cooking lessons in a local Roman home where you purchase ingredients in the market beforehand. Are you a wine enthusiast? If you are, would you care for a wine tasting held in private vineyards, traveled to via helicopter? Access Italy’s unique experiences include truffle hunting in Tuscany and Umbria, exclusive visit to Doge’s Palace in Venice, or even more tantalizing, a private yacht sailing along the Amalfi Coast, where you can admire the stunning coastline and swim in the aquamarine sea waters.

Simone commented, “We immerse our guests into the life of a local, whether it may be local neighborhood restaurants, cooking class in a local family home, or going by sea to the islands of Ponza and Palmarola, which are not touristy but so beautiful.”

During my visit to Rome, I had the pleasure of dining with Simone, after which he treated myself and my family to the most delectable gelato I have ever tasted in my life; it made me realize that not all Italian gelato is created equal. After treating ourselves with gelato, we walked the back streets of Rome as locals and enjoyed the nightlife of the piazzas.

Access Italy has partners in Greece, France, and Spain and can also provide customized tours in these countries.
