In September of 2014 Cabos San Lucas and the surrounding area at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, Mexican suffered a devastating blow when hurricane Odile came a-shore packing 125 mph winds and left carnage in it wake. However with the help of the Mexican government, nine incredibly short months later the resort area experienced a grand re-birth.

The consequences of a category four hurricane is devastating enough but when it comes only a few short months away from the height of Los Cabos’ tourist season in a country that heavily relies on travelers for a good portion of its revenue, you know the powers that be will turn heaven and earth upside down to fix it. On a Herculean scale the Mexican government sent in the troops and rebuilt the entire coast line in under a year.

Upon experiencing Cabo San Lucas and all it has to offer, few times do you come to a destination with such natural beauty, delectable cuisine, stylish luxury, local artisanal shopping, a friendly attitude and a huge range of activities.

However it all begins with wonderful accommodations enjoyed at the Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa, that sits at the exact point where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. Approximately 40 minutes from the airport and a short walk to the Marina Cabo San Lucas this lavish 4.5 star property is ingeniously built into the rocks and cascades down to the sea. The experience is enhanced by their stylish sprawling suites with fully equipped kitchens and breathtaking views of their pools and beach area beyond.

A sumptuous buffet breakfast is awaits you every morning beachside with every imaginable scenario you could possibly want; from Huevos Rancheros to fresh fruit to grilled meats but a la carte is also an option for those who want to consume lightly. For lunch, take a dip in their infinity pool and swim up to a submerged table and enjoy their killer Ceviche, a fresh caught grilled fish or a whole host of your favorite Mexican fare.
