Immigration?  The American Dream? Talk about trending.

Allow me to introduce you to Mr. Jon Kane from Ghana–creator of the Kane Collection@kanecollections and https://www.kanecollections.com/#/

If you tend to swing away from immigration, please note that he’s an American citizen and that all of his materials and shipping happen right here in the good old USA: talk about beautifully crafted bipartisanship. 😉  Not to mention the idealization of the idealized and revered American Dream.

The Kane Collection began with Jon’s sketches.  Sketches, which his two beloved daughters saw, and then with some prodding and encouragement from an array of influential people, his sketches easily evolved into this unique and chic line of handbags.

Once vendors saw his sketches and his prototypes…the Kane Collection really took off.

What I love best?  The fact that each bag is designed after a woman in his life.  Her personality.  Her swag.  Her style.  Her demeanor.  Her name. (I’m sure a “Meg” is in the works.)

He only creates 50 of each named design.

So get in line.  Who’s your match?

I went with two versions of the “Jade” bag–one of his bestsellers: sophisticated and elegant.

The satchel is great for a lighter carry and definitely more portable for quick trips, here and there–the daily carry.

But the Jade tote?  It carries everything for an entire day out, without any home-base breaks.

Which do you think a working mom uses more often?

So, what makes his bags so special?

  1. Take the name challenge!  Which bag matches your personality?
  2. Bonus: the bags’ retractable handles (watch my video–you’ll see!)
  3. Only 50 of each bag are made…don’t wait too long.  Unique…and chic.

(PS: If you ask to speak with Jon himself, you may stay on the phone longer than normal because his accent is as charming as his story.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.)

XO, Meg
