GBK, one of the country’s premier gifting lounges and special events company (gbkproductions.com), promised to deliver for the Spring 2014 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and did not disappoint. They and The Fashion Group International (www.fgi.org), kicked off the week by hosting an industry fundraiser event benefiting LIM Fashion Education Foundation (www.limcollege.edu), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships and educational enhancements. The cocktail fete took place at the GBK Celebrity Suites Style lounge in the Empire Hotel across from Lincoln Center, the focal point of New York Fashion Week.
The iconic award winning costume designer Patricia Field hosted the evening to raise funds and awareness for the charity.
“I am very pleased to be here…in support of LIM FEF,” said Patricia Field during opening comments.
Due to his philanthropic nature, Gavin Keilly, CEO of GBK, was also honored to be associated with the event.
“It’s been a great pleasure to work with The Fashion Group International and support LIM FEF. Fashion week is a great occasion to come together and support the community while creating opportunities for emerging talent.These students are the future of the fashion business and we are excited to be able to use our resources and partnerships to give back,” stated Gavin.
