VH1 Saves The Day

By Taylor Bennett

VH1 Save The Music Foundation threw its 2014 Honors event on the beautiful estate of hosts Julie & William Macklowe in the magnificent beach town of Sagaponack.

The event honored Charlie Walk (Executive Vice President of Republic Records), Linda Perry (Singer/ Songwriter/Producer), Bozoma Saint John (SVP, Head of Global Marketing at Beats Music), Nathan Cohen and Grace A. Dunn (Middle School Music Teacher).

The stellar event brought ‘a music festival vibe to the Hamptons’ raising money and awareness for music education programs in public schools. The host committee and guests included Kelly Bensimon, Matt Breitenbach, Debra Halpert, Samantha Yanks, Perez Hilton, Rosanna Scotto and Lou Ruggiero and live performances included James Bay, Ingrid Michaelson, and DJ Theory. The generous sponsors that made it all possible were Avnet, William Hill Estate Wines, vbeauté, Raymond Weil, Alex and Ani, Tequila Don Julio, Corona Extra/ Corona Light, Marimekko and VOSS Artesian Water from Norway.
